UNIVERSITY ORCHESTRA
About the Ensemble
The University Orchestra The University Orchestra at BYU is a welcoming, high-energy ensemble open to all students across campus—regardless of major—who want to continue playing their instrument in a collegiate orchestral setting. Designed to provide an enriching and rewarding musical experience, the ensemble performs a wide variety of engaging repertoire, from classical masterworks to popular favorites.
Rehearsals focus on ensemble playing, musical expression, and developing orchestral skills in a supportive environment. The University Orchestra is led by qualified graduate students in BYU’s orchestral conducting program. The group performs one combined concert at the end of each semester with the University Strings in the Music Building’s Concert Hall.
How to Join
