About The Ensemble

The BYU Chamber Orchestra is a premier ensemble comprised of 50 of the most accomplished musicians from the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra. Renowned for its precision, versatility, and musical sensitivity, the ensemble performs an expansive repertoire ranging from classical masterworks to contemporary compositions.

The Chamber Orchestra tours internationally, representing BYU in major concert halls and cultural venues around the world. Students gain high-level ensemble experience through rigorous rehearsals, faculty mentorship, and performances both on and off campus.

Participation is by audition and offers a professional-caliber environment that prepares students for careers in performance, teaching, and collaborative music-making at the highest level.

Auditions are held at the start of Fall semester. Please reference the Ensemble Auditions page for your respective instrument.
